Emma Tennant will be exhibiting this Easter in the Art & Ornament exhibition at Dalkeith Palace.  The exhibition by the Master Carvers’ Association & Friends is a celebration of present day art and craft in recognition of Grinling Gibbons, the eminent 17th century carver.

Madeleine Floyd’s latest paintings are now available through the gallery, including several from her Yorkshire series.

Emma Tennant has recently helped raise much appreciated funds for the Ventnor Botanic Garden Friends’ Society from four screenings of Ben Wood’s documentary film Emma Tennant, Artist and Gardener, and a small pop up exhibition held at Ventnor Arts Club on the Isle of Wight.

Emma’s exhibition A Celebration of Gardening was held at Soane Britain this autumn to coincide with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and London Craft Week.  Like Soane’s founder and creative director Lulu Lytle, Emma believes that art and craft should live alongside one another and be celebrated equally.   She exhibited recent paintings and rag rugs amongst Soane’s inspiring collection.

A Celebration of Craftsmanship is currently on show in the Billiard Room ~ new ceramics by William Plumptre, recent botanical works by Emma Tennant and gilded panels, gilded shells and sea urchin match strikers by Tennant & Tennant. The different mediums sit very happily together, each artist at the top of their craft.  For information about Tennant & Tennant please email me.
