Born in Colombia in 1964, Cristina trained at the Slade and now lives and works in Paris and Geneva. Bold outlines of figures and objects and simplified areas of solid colour are characteristic of her compositions and a deep passion for South American folk art, story-telling, myth and fable all shape her work. She retains a child's ability to believe the unbelievable and sees the magical in the mundane. She draws her subjects from the real and the imaginary, fusing fantasy and perception into one.
Cristina has exhibited in London, Colombia, New York, Zimbabwe and at the Louvre, Paris and her work and commissioned family portraits are in many private collections around the world.
